Quick question, I'm planning on installing a nice car stereo /speakers and amps, in My 93 T/A really soon. I've got an auto trans in this car and when I shift from park to drive or any other gear I have to push the button in and it slams into gear every time, It literally shakes the whole console and makes a cracking sound. My question is, I'm going to remove the center console to run the wires to the rear amps. Is there an adjustment I can do to get this to stop popping/slamming into gear? Thanks I'm sure I could figure it out but I thought I would ask before tearing into it without asking.
    Thank you Guys......... cory

P.S. I'm planning on going to the swap meet with Steve next Saturday morning. Anyone else from the club going. I would like to say hello and put a face to a name if you are going to be there?

Hey Cory, about the swap meet at Monroe, the club will have two booths there, so you can hang out and talk cars or what ever. Unfortunatly, I will be on a plane heading for Minnesota so I will miss the swap meet. But Don Crenshaw, Brent West and lots of other club members will be there. Jeff D

Cory, it sounds like your TPV cable needs adjusting. If you come by, I can adjust it in seconds. Well maybe a minute. Or you can call me at 206-910-9914 and I can guide you through it. I believe 1993 was the last year for using the PV Cable. From then on it was electric. Your problem is very common with cables getting old.

Also do you have any check engine light on? The trans will shift hard in this mode as the computer does not read any sensors when the light is on, it is a pre programmed map built into the computer to get you home or to the service station. Typically this will also make the transmission shift hard and late.

huh right on maybe next saturday when I come down for the swap meet you can show me how to adjust it and where the adjustment is located.
I don't have a check engine light on. But I keep getting a low engine coolant light that comes on after about a half hour of driving it. I fill it back up then it must just over fill the reservoir when im driving it. I always check the temp gage on the dash and it never gets close to overheating, So I know it has enough coolant in it. It is really annoying and ive been trying to brainstorm what it could be? All ive come up with is a bad sensor? In the radiator or reservoir? Any ideas?
    Thanks for the info Steve
