I am planning on redoing my interior this fall/winter. I remember that there was a tech session at Steve's a while back, redoing back seats. Was there a write-up on it? If so where would I find it? Is there a difference in the frame work between the standard and the deluxe rear seats? IE: if I have deluxe seats now but wanted to go to standard would there be modifications required? Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian, I did the seat reuhpolstry tech session a couple of years ago at Steves. There is no difference in the framework between the delux or standard seats, only the cover materials. Its not that hard to do, as I redid my seats on the '70 Formula. Sorry, but I didn't do any write up on how I did the seats, just went over how to recover the seats, which is fairly easy. I also brought my hog ring pliers and the air powered hog ring gun that we use at work putting mattresses together. Send me some info when you would like to do it and maybe we can do the tech session again. Jeff D

Hey, I'd be up for that tech session too. Maybe I could re-do my 442 seats. I'm sure it would be a good investment for any car that needs it to be done.

Thanks Jeff & BOPGuy, I'll post when I get a little closer to getting the upholstery. Long story short,(like I can do that), I intend to use Fiero w/speakers seats as replacements for my front seats so MrMikes.com (who specializes in Fiero seats) said he can make them in a parchment color to match my interior and can do the backs also to match the fronts stitching. (He got a great looking mustang interior on his main web page) I'll have to send him a parchment color sample so he can match it and then see how long it will take to make.

Yeah, I hate dealing with upholstery, but maybe it's just because I don't know what I'm doing! I've had a few Fieros too, but have yet to own one with headrest-integrated speakers (so I don't know how they sound). Are you planning to upgrade the stock speakers in them?

Good luck with your project and keep us posted!
