I'm converting my manual steering to power steering (finally). Before I started buying stuff from the catalogs, I was wondering if anyone might have any of the power steering parts I would need sitting around that they would be willing to sell. If so, please let me know. Thanks.

I probably have a '70s pump (not sure about the bracket though) from another GM car. I assume they are the same, but am not 100% positive. You can have it. I probably have a couple of them to choose from.

I also have a P/S steering box and bolts from a Gen 2 Bird, but I'm not sure if it's the same as a gen 1. Anyone know? That one I'd have to get some money for though. I believe the one I have came from the '80 T/A that I parted out.

If you don't mind, I'd also like to move this topic to the 'needs & wants' section. OK?

No problem moving the post. I would certainly appreciate the pump and if you have the bracket, that would be gravy. Thanks. I can pick up the pump whenever it's convenient for you. Give me a call and let me know. I'd also be interested in the steering box as well. I read in the First Gen site that a box from any 78 - 81 Trans Am is the best way to go. Bill (360) 435-0190

If you still have the gearbox I'm still interested. Thanks.

Sorry, been busy with work yesterday and this AM. I can do the P/S pump just about anytime, but I can't commit to the P/S box until I figure out what I have. I need one for my own car, and I'll have to run the numbers on what I have in order to figure out which one I need to use on my car. Did you want the pump right away, and can you wait on the other?

The pump I have is from an Olds small block, but I believe they are the same pump. Do you know for sure?

I'm in Issaquah and can meet just about anytime...

I would like the pump right away. I can try to locate another gear box. I certainly appreciate the pump though. Would you have time on Monday morning around 10:30? Let me know. My number is 360-435-0190. Thanks.

I don't know where I'll be exactly (self-employed), but you can call me when you're ready. Today is good, tomorrow is just another work day. Since my job involves dealing with emergencies, I never know where I'll be or when.

Let me know when you're ready...
