does anyone have a good picture of the bracket that attaches to the car that accepts the rear license plate bracket. Not sure what is happening with mine, but it seems to mount too low and you can see the top of the gas cap.

Do you know if this is specific to 1st gen? I had a '68 which is now sold, but I still have a '73 which might be similar.
I can take a look if you think they might be the same...just let me know!

BOP = BMW, Olds, & Pontiac
Past: countless BMWs, Cutlass's, Birds, GTOs, Caddys, VWs, & Jeeps
Present: a 3, a 7, a 442, a GTO, a Bird, & a jet boat--some even run!
Future: '87 BMW 325 V8 & '73 Drag BirdPosted 2 years ago # -
I am told a rear license bracket for a 69 is specific. I think someone retrofitted something on my car so they could use a chevrolet bracket that is similar.

What about this one:
69 Firebird License Plate Bracket
If it's that model and year-specific, then maybe it's worth $30 for a new one.
I know for me at least if it's a 1-year-only and it differs between Chevy and Pontiac, then it will be hard to find a used one. I don't see too many '69 Birds being parted out these days. They are few and far between...
