I have revised a posting tonight that I tried to make a few times. This time I wrote it out in notepad because every time I try to post, I keep getting an error msg (bbpress) error and I lose everything I typed out? any ideas on what is going on?
    Thanks
    Cory Smith

Sounds like a bug. You should know though that posts can only be edited/modified up to 24 hours after initial posting. Were you trying to modify anything older than that?

Try clearing your Internet cache (Tools, Options, Delete, etc). Are you using Internet Explorer or another browser?

I'll help if I can, just let me know a little bit more about your problem if possible...

Sure, you can send it to webmaster if you like. There is an email link below...

By the way, I'm moving this thread over to the website topic and I'll merge them together since it seems related.

Never mind merging topics--I guess the feature is really buggy and I can corrupt the forum database by using it. I'll just leave it here for now and I'll troubleshoot using the email that you sent me.

weird it must be my computer, I tried it at least 10 times from my computer. I am on a laptop and a wireless router but I don't think that should have anything to do with it? But anyhow thank you for posting it for me, now at least it us up and I can get some ideas
    Thanks

I'd still like to know why it was happening though. Can you tell me what operating system you are on (XP, Vista, Win7, Mac)? More importantly, what browser are you using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, AOL, etc)? And what version. The browser version can be found in the Help/About menu.

If you prefer to send it to me directly instead of posting it here, then use the 'webmaster' link below.

im on xp and im using internet explorer 8.0.6001.18882. No worrys, let me know if you need anything in the future. I would love to help.
Also I was kind of brainstorming about features that may be helpful. I was thinking if we had a tab/info section under our name. (on the left of the question) ,that specifyes what model make and engine size car we each have. it may eliminate the need to explain it every time you post a new topic. Just an idea I keep seeming to forget to explain my car on every question I post. I realize unless someone has replied to a prior post of mine, they would have no idea what I have.
    Thanks,
    Cory

I'd put that info in your signature if you want it always visible. It's then easy to change as well--if your car changes, etc. Your signature currently says '1973 firebird' so I know you found the signature line at some point in time. It defaults to being blank...
