OK, so I screwed myself again... Here's what happened:
The LeMans as most of you know came back from Oregon in a poor state of disarray, one of those things being the car alarm was toasted due to the battery being allowed to go dead as well as the siren and its battery back-up. So when it came down to it, it was less expensive to just purchase a whole new alarm, more modern etc, than it would have been to buy a new siren and the other needed switches.
So I get it home being told, "sure you can install it" just to find that not only do I Not even have a clue of what I'm doing, but I don't have the needed relays to operate the door locks and dome lights. Here come the explicative...
So I called the reputable Car Stereo ... place that I purchased it from to speak at the owner whom I have known for 25yrs only to have a misunderstanding develope ending with me getting my ass handed back to me for no good reason. Hrmf!
Anyway, to the point, I have the unit, a Viper 350 Plus, mounted in the car, the siren wired and mounted, and I think I have figured out how to wire the relay for the trunk release, but THAT IS IT! PEOPLE, I AM LOST! AND, I must have it back together in a couple of days as it is going to be picked up and shipped back to Oregon Saturday.
So if anyone out there has some good experience at installing car alarms for Gods Sake please call me ASAP!
