Although this is a work-in-progress, we're off to a great start. Most of the content has been imported from the old site, and as time goes on, we plan to expand its content and the overall structure to meet the needs of the club and the community.

What do you think? Ideas, requests, concerns? We're here to serve you...let's make this the best Firebird / F-Body site on the net!

Well, I've been playing around with Private Messaging, and I think I've got it running. I started with the basic PM system, and it really wasn't working the way I wanted it to.

I've also tested the 'Report Post' link and it works great. Of course, I had to pretend to report 'frmula400'--but don't take it personally!

I'll be working on some additional functionality and am open to ideas about colors, designs, etc. Let me know!

After a brief problem with the site sending email, I have fixed the security setting which was blocking outbound emails. I went into the newly-registered users on the site and requested that new password links be sent out. Thanks to 'Manic' for the bug report!

Email webmaster (using the link below) if you have any problems getting your password to the site...

I like what I see so far! I am working on the newsletter and will send you more in fo real soon. Now on the website, I don't want to post any thing from the newsletter, except or the event of the month and upcoming events. Some people have expressed intrest in posting the whole newsletter, which would't be cool because why pay dues if you can see the newsletter for free on the site. You are doing an out standing job! Thanks again Sean! You Da Man! Also expect more pics and stuff when the news letter comes out by this weekend. We can update the members rides section for sure! Have a great day!!!!!!!!

I know that other clubs post newsletters, but I'll leave that up to the club as to what they decide needs to be public or not. I welcome all the content you want to throw at the site, and I'll try to incorporate it into the existing theme the best way possible.

Another goal is to expand on the forum and try to get the look and feel to more closely resemble the main website (I guess it would be nice to be 'final' on the main website before trying to imitate it!). At this point, the only thing I've integrated between the two is the username/login info. If you login to one site, it should see it on the other and vice-versa.

Let me know if you or anyone else sees room for improvement. There is always something to do for sure.

Just so everyone knows...I'm going to be playing around with the look & feel of the site in the upcoming week. If you see some weird layouts and strange colors, don't be surprised! It will be a trial and error process and at times there could be some very odd things displayed on the screen.

If all else fails and something doesn't look right, just hit REFRESH! I will likely be hitting REFRESH myself after each change to check and see how it looks.

As usual--any ideas, comments, or concerns are more than welcome!

Quite a bit of work has been done to add features to the 'forum' site. It doesn't quite all work yet, but it's a good start. I've added avatars (those little pics of ones' self next to your member name), some customizable name tags, post stats for each user, a spell checker (!!), some other formatting/tagging options, the ability to upload files, and the ability to subscribe to a topic and receive email updates on it. That's just the stuff that the public can see--there's lots more that was added behind the scenes from a management point of view. There's even a 'voting' option for administrators to use on a post if we need to take a poll or something. This is all great stuff!

As for the avatars and file upload, I am working through some issues to make it work properly, so just know that the issue is being worked on and I'll post info here when it is functional.

At this point, it's all about the feature set combined with the look and feel. The 'bugs' will be worked out in short order. Thanks for your patience!

Per the previous post, uploads are not quite working yet. Sorry, but it's a new feature and it's being worked on. I'm reasonably sure it's a security issue with how the site acts on Windows servers compared to non-Windows servers.

I'll post here when it's functional. Thanks for your patience!

OK, I think I am just about finished tying in the look and feel of the main site with the forum site (this one). I have duplicated some graphics at the top and have made color and layout changes to more closely resemble each other.

In general, it is a red-white-blue theme with high contrast and lots of black in the background of each site (although not as much black on the forum, since I believe it affects read-ability).

Titles are blue, click-able links are red, and when you hover over a link, it turns blue. Shades of red and blue vary with the background behind the text in question, wich I believe helps with contrast and read-ability.

Now back to work on cleaning up the other weird things like file uploads and such...it's quite a process!

We got 4 new sign-ups yesterday! Come on people, let's spread the word...we have like 80+ club members so I think we should have at least that many signed up here, then some random ones from around the Internet.

I'd like to welcome 'WhiteHotTA', 'robws6', 'Dano67', & 'gregg1002' who signed up within the past 24 hours.

    A BIG THANKS
